ZiwiPeak Air-Dried Cuisine is very unique. In fact, it is so unique that there is nothing else in the market like it! Our Air-Drying process was carefully developed to give our customers a food that is as close as it comes to a natural raw feeding diet without the hassle of handling raw meat. This is a process we are extremely proud of and think is pretty darn cool (if we do say so ourselves!) However, dealing with a product like ours which is 100% natural containing over 90% real meat and organs and with no added preservatives, fillers or grains requires careful handling and storage.
Here is a step by step guide to make sure that you are keeping your ZiwiPeak Air-Dried cuisine fresh and tasty from the moment the pouch is opened until the moment it lands in your pet’s bowel and gets gobbled up!
Opening your pouch
Firstly, cut carefully along the marked line on the reverse of the pouch. Ensure that you do not cut into the seal below the line as this will compromise the closure of the pouch. To open the pouch, use both hands, pulling apart each side of the pouch evenly.
Storage
Storage is an important part of keeping ZiwiPeak fresh for feeding! We highly recommend that you do not do the following:
- Do not store in a zip lock bag
- Do not store in a plastic storage container
- Do not store in the fridge or freezer
- Do not leave your ZiwiPeak pouch open and un-sealed
- Do not leave your ZiwiPeak pouch in direct sunlight or near a heat source
Use the pouch that your ZiwiPeak food comes in to store it. Ensure the seal is completely closed and any excess air is removed from the pouch. Store in a cool environment out of direct sunlight and away from heat.
Feeding
Feed ZiwiPeak with the scoop we have provided for you in the pouch. If you use your hands to scoop the food out of the pouch you risk spoiling the food if your hands are wet or damp or there is other food matter on your hands.
Closing your pouch
Closing your pouch correctly is another important part of keeping your ZiwiPeak fresh for feeding! To close your ZiwiPeak pouch, run your fingers firmly along the seal. Make sure that you have successfully joined both sides of the seal together. Repeat this action a few times, going right to each edge, ensuring that no air can get into the pouch. Store your pouch in a cool area, out of direct sunlight.
